Tokai University (Japan) - DTU ICT workshop, December 1st, 2020 on high-capacity data transmission -state of the art optical/wireless communication technologies.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Tokai University European Center (TUEC) in Denmark, a seminar has been organized in the field of telecommunication technologies with talks by eminent speakers from Tokai Univ. Japan and DTU to explore the future developments of high capacity data transmission and their applications. TUEC was established in Vedbæk Denmark in 1970 to promote academic and cultural exchange between Tokai University, Japan and relevant partner institutions/organizations in Europe. Dr. Shigeyoshi Matsumae (1901-1991), a founder of Tokai Univ. and TUEC is an eminent researcher in long-distance telecommunication systems. In September, 2019 a Memorandum of Understanding and an Exchange Agreement was formalized and signed between DTU and Tokai Univ. Both institutions wish to strengthen their ties and develop collaboration in research fields also within INCOM as well as developing collaboration in education and enabling students to travel abroad and broaden the perspectives in the areas of science and cultural exchange.
