During the first week of September 2019, Bifrost Communications will be part of the Danish Pavilion at China International Optoelectronic Exposition - CIOE. Taking place each year in Shenzhen this exposition has become the biggest photonics hotspot in the world and Denmark is highlighted as an important center for photonics industry and innovation. It showcases the great collaboration and synergy between the Danish photonics companies - a collaboration spirit that is also reflected in the INCOM project where Danish photonics industry and academia join forces to mitigate the ever increasing carbon footprint of the Internet.
Bifrost Communications will display their latest breakthroughs in Quasi-Coherent (QC) Receiver Technology, namely 25 Gbps QC receivers with built-in dispersion compensation for 20 km C-band DWDM transmission. This technology is very attractive for 5G fronthaul as well as DWDM 20 km links. CTO Jesper Bevensee Jensen says, "Our goal is to initiate partnerships with optics- and transceiver vendors interested in our unique technology. CIOE is, quite simply, the best place to meet them.
